Meet The Team

The people behind the conversations

French Toast Lessons is powered by a small, hand-picked team of native French tutors, chosen for their warmth, professionalism, and passion for helping adults learn through conversation. Each tutor brings their own personality and experience, creating relaxed, supportive lessons where confidence can grow naturally.

Nichola

Nichola is the Founder of French Toast Lessons and a life-long francophile. She has a degree in French Studies from the University of Nottingham and spent 2 years living in Paris. When she returned to her native Manchester in 2015 she wanted to share her love with French language and culture with as many people as possible. French Toast Lessons was born!

Caroline

I hold a Master’s degree in Language Sciences, specialising in French as a Foreign Language (FLE), and have over ten years’ experience teaching French. I’ve worked with major organisations in Paris and London, including Chanel, Société Générale and HSBC, as well as at King’s College, helping learners build confidence in spoken French through clear, supportive lessons.

Yasmine

Yas is a Paris-based multidisciplinary teacher with a background in international relations, law, and film. Fluent in four languages, she adapts lessons to each learner’s needs and teaches French in French, English, or Spanish. Her conversation-led approach focuses on real-life discussion and writing to build confidence in spoken and written French, as well as support exam and professional preparation.

Magalie

I’m Magalie, originally from Corsica and living in England for nearly fourteen years. I qualified as a secondary school teacher with a French specialism in 2017 and bring a creative, interactive approach to my lessons, with a strong focus on speaking and listening skills. Passionate about French language and culture, I aim to make learning engaging and confidence-building through dynamic, conversation-led teaching.

Emeline

Bonjour, I’m Emeline, a native French speaker and experienced language tutor with a background in linguistics and language teaching. I’ve taught French in secondary schools in England, including GCSE and A-Level, and now work with adult learners. Having learned languages myself, I focus on clear, supportive lessons that build confidence and help students use French naturally in real-life situations.
